Day 01: Leave Dhaka early morning by reserved car/coach for Srimongal. The distance is around 191 km and the journey takes five to six hours of time. On the way you will cross the Meghna River by ferry at Bhairab. Accommodation facilities available at Srimongal are still limited and basic. Normally we arrange your accommodation at the guesthouse of Bangladesh Tea Bord (PDU) or the guesthouse of Heed Bangladesh. After taking lunch at a local restaurant, the accompanying guide will take you out to see the tea plantations and rubber gardens. Day 02: During the morning hours of the second day you will visit the Lawacharra Forest. With a bit of luck you should be able to see some species of primates and a few rare birds. You will also visit the Khashia and Tipra tribal villages, which are close. After lunch at your guesthouse you will visit a village of the Monipuri tribal people and a tea worker’s village. Back to the guesthouse in the evening for dinner and overnight stay. Day
03: After
breakfast at your guesthouse, we shall take you to a beautiful lake, surrounded
by a tea plantation and forest (if the condition of the road allows it).
After an early lunch, you start the drive back to Dhaka, reaching Dhaka
in the evening. |
